Jon Connor & KLC The Drum Major - Twenty Four

Jon Connor is a MC that is one the dopest that I've heard from the Mid-West... during the early 2010 was releasing a slew of mixtapes & albums (all displaying his grasp of dope wordplay) before getting signed with Dr Dre's Aftermath label from 2013 to 2019....fans like myself was hoping a album would come out of that but unfortunately nothing happened... he got released from the label the after a year gathering his thoughts, he went right back to work putting out projects and singles that a lot of his fans (including me) have been waiting on... Before hanging with Dr. Dre,  Connor has figured out how to make good music and songs... the thing is what songs he wants to put out... Jon Connor is underground but with the ever changing landscape of hip hop he tries to find a balance of pleasing his original fans and the new ones he picked up along with attracting new ones... which leads to his team up with with producer KLC The Drum Major 0n this album... which is a good balance of hip hop, lyricism, dope beats that kind of slide around the line of underground / mainstream hip hop music and a touch of crossover... we get some good songs with this album but the best joints to me are " Kings & Queens f Jay Allure, and " The Biggest Flex " with Dee-1 ... the rest are okay joints that will make him new fans but the original fans will want the "original Connor" before 2013.... the hungry Connor but he's grown a bit and found balance...and really this is the right direction for him now as KLC keeps him on point with the production.... versus the multiple producer route...
